Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Controller to join their team in Maryland. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and strategic planning efforts across multiple corporate entities. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and leadership abilities, with a preference for experience in the construction industry. This position is fully onsite in Odenton, Maryland.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Operations: Oversee financial operations across multiple corporate entities.
• Reporting & Compliance: Ensure accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and compliance with all accounting and tax regulations.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with the Accounting Operations Manager.

Strategic Planning: Lead budgeting, forecasting, job costing, and strategic financial planning to drive profitability and growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Experience in financial operations and strategic planning.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
• Proven ability to lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning efforts.
• Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work closely with the Accounting Operations Manager.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, first shift.

Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, with a salary range from $140,000 to $160,000 per year. The role is a supervisory position, providing an opportunity for professional growth and leadership.
